We also have Valentine’s Day just after the Chinese New Year Public Holidays this year. Falling on a Sunday, unfortunately, will mean that the shop will be closed for last minute Vday shopping. If you’re looking to buy your partner cycling equipment (or a whole bike), do come down on the 11th before 1500.
Since we’re celebrating Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day back to back, here’s a list of gift ideas in red! (Although let us state first that these items come in other colours as well!
Bottle Cages

Bottle cages of all varieties – polycarbonate, anodized aluminium, carbon. In red, if you prefer. Or in a variety of different colours, if red’s not really your aesthetic.
Bartapes

Bartapes always need replacing. Get your partner a pack of bar tapes. Or get a few. Your partner will thank you for it.
BB

Okay so chances are your partner’s BB is fine. But just look at that red! No. Just look at it!
Some Nice Oakleys

Eyewear while cycling is a bit like… well… eyewear. You think you don’t need it. Then you get one and you wonder to yourself “what have I been missing??” And truth is, whether you’re biking through dangling branches in the trails, or on roads with all that debris, eyewear can do you good. We’re sure that if you’ve cycled enough (without eyewear), you’ve had at least one incident where some flying debris entered your eye, and it rattled you a little bit. You then curse a little bit and thank your experience and handling skills for not veering off course, or totally panicking and wrecking your front end, sending you over the bars. Get your partner some eyewear. No. Get yourself some eyewear.
To Conclude…
And all jokes aside, do spend more time with your loved ones this holiday season. It’s Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day concurrently. Spend time with family and loved ones. It’s going to be a while until the next public holidays anyway so better to get some rest and some quality time in as well! Cheers!
